Interacting with the Links area

What is the 'Links' area?

The Links area, located within the Event Dashboard, allows event users to view and directly access URLs that are required for running your event - for example, a direct link to a vendor or property website. All event users with access to your event can access the URLs added to this area.


How do I access links added to my events?

Links added at either property or event level will be displayed on the 'Links' tile located on the Event Dashboard. Event users can access these directly by clicking on the title of the link displayed on the Links tile, which will navigate the user to the URL contained within the link.

Users that select the ‘View All’ option on the Links tile can view a more in-depth summary of the links available within the Event Dashboard - users can access links directly by clicking on the title of a link displayed in the index or sort links by Title. You can also filter your links by Type (Event or Property link).

Admin users have the ability to manage and create links within this area - this can be done by selecting the  cogwheel icon to edit an existing link or selecting the ‘New’ option (found above the index) to create a new link. Group Admin users should note that they do not have the ability to create or edit ‘Property’ links.


What is the difference between Property and Event Links?

Event Links are links that have been added to an event within the ‘Links’ area of the Event Dashboard of the event. These links can be added and managed by either Group or Full Admin Users with access to the event.

Property Links are added via the Admin Area, and can only be added by Full Admin users. Any Property Link added to a property will be displayed in the ‘Links’ area of every event present at the property.


Can I create and manage my own links in this area?

Admin users have the ability to manage and create links within the ‘Links' area -  to edit an existing link, the user must select the cogwheel icon adjacent to the link they wish to edit or remove.

Admin users wishing to create a new link must select the ‘New’ option (found above the index). This will allow an Admin User (Group or Full) to create a new Event link for the Links area within the event.

Property links can only be created within the Admin Property Dashboard by a Full Admin user, there is no ability to create a link of this type within an event. Group Admin users should note that they do not have the ability to create or edit ‘Property’ links in any area of the application.
